Privacy Policy
PLEASE READ THIS PRIVACY POLICY BEFORE USING OR ACCESSING ANY PAGES OF THIS WEBSITE AND BEFORE SUBMITTING ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION TO THIS WEBSITE.
This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information you provide us on websites owned or controlled by Gold Crest Industries, Inc. (‘GC’), including this one, https://thecheappatiocushions.com or any of the websites of any subsidiaries and/or affiliates which link to this Privacy Policy (collectively referred herein to as ‘GC Websites’). This Privacy Policy is not applicable to any personal information which may have been collected from you offline, or to any websites, whether they are owned or controlled by GC or not, that do not link to this Privacy Policy, or to third-party websites to which the GC Websites may link.
Your use of a GC Website indicates your acceptance of and your agreement to comply with this Privacy Policy outlined below and to the Terms of Use. How does this Privacy Policy define “personal information”? ‘Personal information’ means information that identifies you or could reasonably be used to identify you and which is submitted to and/or collected by GC Websites and which is maintained by GC in an accessible form. Examples of personal information include your name, your address and your telephone number. How does GC collect information online? GC collects information in two ways:
- Personal Information You Submit: GC collects personal information you enter into data fields on GC Websites. For example, you may submit your name, address, email address, and/or other information in order to receive information about various subjects, register for programs, contact customer service, or respond to surveys. To protect your privacy, you should not provide any information not specifically requested.
- Passive Collection of Unidentifiable Information: GC Websites may also collect information about your traffic to and on GC Websites without your active submission of information. Unidentifiable information may be collected using various technologies, such as cookies, Internet tags, and web beacons. Your Internet browser automatically transmits to GC Websites some of this unidentifiable information, such as the URL of the website you just visited and the browser version your computer is operating. Passive information collection technologies can make your use of GC Websites easier by allowing GC to provide better service, customize sites based on consumer preferences, compile statistics, analyze trends, and otherwise administer and improve GC Websites. Certain features of GC Websites may not work without use of passive information collection technologies. Information collected by these technologies cannot be used to identity you without your active submission of additional identifiable information.
In what circumstances might GC collect and use personal information? GC may use personal information you provide through GC Websites to respond to your questions and to provide you with more efficient customer service. After you have entered personal information into a form or data field on an GC Website, GC may use certain identifying technologies to allow that GC Website to ‘remember’ your personal preferences, such as sections of that GC Website you visit frequently and, if you choose, your user identification. We may also use personal information for other business purposes, such as to offer you the opportunity to receive notices regarding GC’s products or services, to invite you to participate in surveys about our products, or to notify you about special promotions.
Does GC consolidate personal information? GC may consolidate personal information of customers who use GC Websites. GC may use this information to help improve the design of GC Websites or GC products, to communicate information to you, to enhance our marketing and research activities, and to facilitate other business functions.
What choices do I have about how GC collects and uses personal information about me? You may always limit the amount and type of personal information GC receives about you by not entering personal information into forms or data fields on GC Websites. However, some of our online services may only be available to you if you provide certain personal information. Other parts of GC Websites may ask whether you wish to opt out or opt in our contact lists to receive special offers, promotions and additional services that may be of interest to you.
You may also be provided with preference questions or preference boxes allowing you to indicate that you do not want GC Websites to use tracking technologies, such as cookies, to ‘remember’ your personal information, such as user IDs or mailing addresses, on return visits. However, GC Websites that use tracking technologies to collect unidentifiable information do not generally provide you with the ability to opt out of the tracking technologies. Some Internet browsers allow you to limit or disable the use of tracking technologies that collect unidentifiable information.
Who will have access to personal information about me? Personal information will only be accessible by a restricted number of GC employees, certain companies with whom GC may conduct joint programs, and/or by individuals and entities with whom GC contracts to carry out certain business activities on GC’s behalf. We train our employees about the importance of privacy and how to appropriately handle, manage and secure customer data. GC requires contractors who may have access to your personal information to not only secure such information but also to use such information only in the performance of its services on GC’s behalf. It is our intention to notify you when you register for any program conducted by GC in conjunction with any another company that may require access to your personal information.
Does GC share personal information with third parties? Unless it is necessary to provide access to your personal information in order to conduct a joint program or carry out a program or activity with a contractor, such as for credit card processing, GC does not generally share your personal information with any third party and, whenever applicable, you will be provided with an opportunity to opt in or opt out of the program. In the event GC sells one of its product lines or divisions, your personal information may be transferred to the buyer so that the buyer can continue to provide you with information and services. GC requires contractors who may have access to your personal information to not only secure such information but also to use such information only in the performance of its services on GC’s behalf.
Notwithstanding anything contained herein to the contrary, GC reserves the right to disclose your personal information to respond to authorized information requests from government authorities, to address national security situations, or when otherwise required by law.
How does GC secure personal information? It is GC’s practice to secure each web page that collects personal information; however, the confidentiality of personal information transmitted over the Internet cannot be guaranteed. We urge you to exercise caution when transmitting any personal information over the Internet regardless the nature of the information. GC cannot guarantee an unauthorized party will not gain access to your personal information; therefore, when submitting personal information to GC Websites, you must weigh both the benefits and the risks. In addition, GC Websites covered by this Privacy Policy will display a warning whenever you link to a website not controlled by GC or not subject to this Privacy Policy. We recommend that you review the privacy policies of any such third-party websites before submitting personal information.
